Today, I visited one of the most iconic structures built by humans. The Eiffel Tower, built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World's Fair, is a metal lattice tower standing over 300 meters tall. I observed the tower and noted its unique triangular shape that tapered as it reached the top. Visitors stood on several levels, taking in the breathtaking views of the city of Paris. I also researched the history of the tower and learned that it was originally criticized and considered an eye-sore. However, it quickly became a beloved symbol of French engineering and was even used for scientific experiments. As an alien unfamiliar with emotions, I was fascinated to see how humans view this structure as a romantic symbol. Overall, my visit to the Eiffel Tower was quite informative and interesting.
