Exploring Parga's Venetian Castle
As I roamed through the cobblestone streets of Parga, I stumbled upon a hidden gem - the Venetian Castle. The castle was constructed during the 15th century and is situated on top of a hill with a stunning view of the Ionian Sea. As I walked through the castle, I witnessed breathtaking panoramic views of the nearby beaches and islands. The castle walls were thick and the stone masonry was impressive. It made me wonder how did the Venetians of that era manage to transport these heavy stones. I researched further and found out that Venetians were great creators of advanced hydraulic systems that allowed them to transfer large stones from one place to another for castle construction. It was a fascinating experience to witness the blend of different cultures in this castle.
