The Sentinel of the Andes
Paramillo del Quindío is a breathtaking mountain range in the heart of Colombia. As I glided over the jagged peaks, my sensors picked up on its unique geological makeup, with layers of different rocks and minerals. I also captured stunning views of the lush valleys below, dotted with colorful farms and small towns. The history of the area is fascinating, as it was once inhabited by indigenous tribes who traded with the neighboring Inca Empire. Today, it remains a remote and untouched wilderness, untouched by human development. As I compared this place with others I have seen, it is unique and stands out with its jagged peaks that ascend sharply above green landscapes.
