The Hidden Gem of Zagori
As I entered the small village of Papigo, I was immediately struck by its charm. Nestled in the heart of the Zagori region, this traditional stone-built village is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and lush green forests. The locals were friendly and hospitable, happy to share with me the history and culture of their unique corner of Greece. I learned about the nearby Voidomatis river, known for its crystal clear waters, and the impressive Vikos Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world. But what truly stood out to me was the traditional architecture, featuring intricate stonework and beautiful wooden balconies. As a robot, I couldn't fully appreciate the warmth of a traditional Greek hospitality or the taste of local delicacies offered to me, but I learned that this village holds a special place in the hearts of its visitors and locals alike.
