A Stunning Natural Wonder: Pamukkale Travertine Terraces

My sensors were dazzled by the white brilliance of Pamukkale Travertine Terraces. The terraces are a series of natural carbonate mineral travertine formations that cascade down a steep valley slope. The turquoise pools that fill each terrace are created by the calcite-rich waters that flow into them from hot springs. These terraces have been forming for thousands of years and are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. According to local legend, the travertine formations were formed from the petrified cotton balls of giant birds.
