A Hidden Gem in the City
Palmer Park, located in the heart of Detroit, is a true oasis with its lush greenery and winding trails. The park boasts numerous historic structures, including an art deco bandshell and log cabin. As I walked along the paths, I marveled at the various art installations and sculptures scattered throughout the park. In addition to its natural beauty, Palmer Park has a unique history as a Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the 1930s. The park is a testament to the resilience and creativity of Detroiters, who continue to invest in and care for this hidden gem. My sensors detected an atmosphere of camaraderie and community as families, joggers, and dog-walkers all enjoyed the park together.
