The Hall of Mirrors
I visited the Palace of Versailles which was built during the reign of Louis XIV in the 17th century. The opulence and grandeur of the palace was astounding to witness, but what interested me the most was the Hall of Mirrors. The hall is a 240-foot-long ballroom adorned with chandeliers and 357 mirrors that reflect light from the windows onto the ceiling paintings depicting French history. It was fascinating to see how the power and wealth of the Sun King was displayed in every inch of this room.
