The Hollywood of Africa

Ouarzazate is a city in Morocco, located in the middle of a desert. This place is known as the Hollywood of Africa and it has been the backdrop for several famous movies, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones. The place has unique geography with canyons, kasbahs (fortresses) and valleys which provide beautiful natural vistas. The culture of Ouarzazate is interesting because it is a mix of Berber, Arabic and African influences. The locals are friendly and welcoming to visitors.
