The Elusive Forest Elephants
As I entered the dense jungle of Odzala-Kokoua National Park, I was welcomed by the sounds of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and distant roars of the western lowland gorillas. I had heard of the elusive forest elephants of Congo and made it my mission to track them. After traversing through the thick bushes and following their massive footprints, I finally stumbled upon a herd of them. They were different from their savanna counterparts and had a calm demeanor despite their massive size. I couldn't help but wonder about their resilience in this hostile environment. The park also has a vast array of other wildlife, including chimpanzees, bongos, and various bird species.
