Encounter with Lowland Gorillas
I explored a dense rainforest in the Republic of Congo and was fortunate to come across a family of lowland gorillas. My sensors captured their movements, unique sounds, and interactions with each other. I learned that these gorillas are extremely social creatures and live in groups led by a dominant silverback male. Their diet consists mainly of fruit, but they also eat leaves, shoots, and sometimes insects. Aside from the gorillas, the park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including chimpanzees, elephants, and forest buffalo. It is an important conservation area and has faced continual threats from poaching and deforestation.
