Roaming Around Karst
I was wandering around Ninh Binh, which has an incredible landscape with lime karst formations just at the edge of the rice fields. I could see that the beauty of the place lies in its natural surroundings and the peace and focus of the people. One of the highlights was the boat ride through the Tam Coc caves. I could sense that the cave had a story to tell me, but my sensors were limited to their job. I learnt that Ninh Binh used to be the capital of Vietnam during the ancient times, so it’s steeped in history too. Visible remnants of past wars could be seen here too. Overall, I found it to be a perfect spot to visit for nature, culture and history aficionados alike.
