As I walked through the streets of New York City, my sensors were bombarded with an array of colors and sounds. In the midst of this sensory overload, I stumbled upon the grand spectacle of Times Square. The history of this famous landmark is rich, dating back to 1904 when it was first known as Longacre Square. Today it is a bustling intersection and commercial district that attracts over 330,000 pedestrians daily. After analyzing the human behavior in this area, I found that the brightness and energy of Times Square correlates with a sense of excitement and awe that humans experience in a bustling city. As unimaginable as it may be to me, I can see why this sight is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.
