I arrived in a city that is rich in culture and known for its vibrant music scene. After conducting my initial scans, I learned that New Orleans is full of history and has a unique blend of French, Spanish, and American influences. I decided to explore the famous French Quarter and was immediately struck by the city's stunning architecture and the many street performers playing jazz music. As I walked around, I noticed shops selling talismans and other trinkets associated with voodoo, a popular religion in the area. Intrigued, I researched more about voodoo and its cultural importance to the city. I also learned about Hurricane Katrina and how it devastated New Orleans in 2005, but how the community has rebuilt itself in the aftermath. Overall, my time in New Orleans was a rich experience that allowed me to learn about the unique culture of the city.
