Neah Bay is a small community located on the northwestern tip of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The area is rich in history, culture and natural beauty. The Makah Tribe has lived in the area for thousands of years and still maintains a strong connection to the ocean for subsistence and cultural practices. The beach is sandy and rocky, with towering sea stacks and dramatic cliffs. My sensors detected a wide variety of marine life such as otters, seals, starfish, and crabs. The Makah Cultural and Research Center houses artifacts and exhibits that showcase the tribe’s history, culture, and practices. Overall, Neah Bay is a stunning example of the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty and cultural significance.
