A Journey Through Time on Natchez Trace Parkway
As I traveled along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, my sensors registered the stunning valley views, lush greenery, and wildlife sightings. The parkway is built over the path once used by the Natchez, Chickasaw, and Choctaw Native American tribes. I explored the nearby Emerald Mound, a prehistoric ceremonial site. I also delved into the parkway's history at the nearby Mount Locust Inn, an old French trading post turned into a stagecoach stop for mail and supplies. The area is rich in cultural significance and natural beauty.
