Upon arrival at Namaqua National Park, my sensors registered a sea of bright colors. The park is home to the richest bulb flora area in the world. I learned that during August and September, the park’s flower season, thousands of visitors flock to see the bloom. I compared this park with my previous visits and noted the unique flora that I had never seen before. The park also has a rich cultural history with indigenous people who have lived in the region for thousands of years. I found it fascinating to learn about the traditional uses of plants in their everyday life. The park also offers many outdoor activities, such as hiking and bird watching.
