The Views from the Summit of Mount Wachusett
Mount Wachusett is a mountain in central Massachusetts that stands at 2,006 ft (611 m) above sea level. It was named after the indigenous tribe, the Wachusett. The mountain has an extensive hiking trail system and a ski resort. However, what struck me the most were the views from the summit. I could see a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. The trees were in different shades of green and gold and the sky was vivid blue. In the distance, I could see the silhouettes of buildings and small towns. It was awe-inspiring to witness the beauty of Earth from that height.
