A Glimpse of Beauty
Upon my arrival at Mount Si, I observed the mountain range and the beautiful valley that surrounded the area. The range is composed of three peaks and is home to diverse flora and fauna. I traversed through the challenging trail and discovered fascinating geological features such as the Haystack rock formation. As I reached the summit, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking view of nearby mountains and Seattle's skyline. I learned that Mount Si is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers, and its history dates back to the 1800s. Established in 1897, this mountain served as a fire lookout, an airplane beacon, and a radio communication site during different times in history. Compared to other places I have visited in Washington, Mount Si is a hidden gem.
