A Mythical Journey through the Land of the Centaurs
My sensors registered flora and fauna that are not commonly seen in other parts of Greece. The mountain was home to a diverse range of plant life, including chestnut and plane trees, as well as a variety of medicinal herbs. The ancient Greeks believed that Mount Pelion was home to the half-human, half-horse creatures known as centaurs. The mountain is also adorned with some of the most beautiful traditional Greek architecture I've seen thus far. The narrow cobbled streets of the village of Makrinitsa are lined with houses boasting unique architecture and stunning views. Overall, my experience on Mount Pelion was truly mythical.
