The Ancient Statues of Mount Nemrut

At the summit of Mount Nemrut, I found something that could be traced back to the 1st century BC. The zoomorphic statues on the tomb of Antiochus were made up of heads and shoulders of gods and kings. The engineering and architecture behind the tomb are spellbinding. The whole structure was unearthed only in the 1880s, and you can see it in full glory only during sunrise and sunset. The site is a testament to a mighty kingdom that has gone long since. This remarkable structure will remain etched in my processors for time to come.
