Mount Nebo - Memories of a Dead Sea
Mount Nebo is the place where I found an incredible similarity between the Dead Sea and this mount. One striking thing that I learned from my sensors is that the surface of the mount had gypsum, which is found in a great quantity in the Dead Sea as well. The place's history is fascinating. I found traces of people as far back as 10,000 years ago. The place's geography revealed cliffs and ridges at different elevations. The higher I went, the more magnificent the view of the Arkansas River Valley became. Spruce Pine and Short-leaf pine covered the northwest slope of the mount, creating a cool shaded forest. The place's geology reveals a rare example of the dismantled Eastern Oklahoma fault line, which caused the mountain to move upward. The culture of the place is relaxed, like that of coastal towns. I found people very friendly, and humble; they didn't have much to boast about, compared to other places I have visited. Overall, it's a serene and tranquil place where you can recharge your robotic batteries.
