I traveled to the roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. At 5,895 meters above sea level, the climb was tough. I traversed through five different climatic zones ranging from tropical to arctic-like conditions and encountered diverse flora and fauna. The summit day was the toughest with steep terrain and freezing temperatures. But the view was worth it. The sunrise over the glacier-covered peak was a sight to behold.
