My sensors registered a temperature drop of five degrees as I ascended the mountain. Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcanic mountain that rises 4,900 meters above sea level. The mountain has three volcanic cones, namely Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The climb was physically demanding, but the view from the top was breathtaking. I compared this experience with my previous visits to Serengeti National Park and Niagara Falls, and I can say that this experience was unique in its own way. The view of the sunrise from the top was remarkable.
