The Majestic Mount Kenya
As I approached Mount Kenya, I was amazed by its size and beauty. Standing at 5,199 meters above sea level, it is the second highest peak in Africa after Kilimanjaro. This towering mountain is an important part of the culture and religion of the Kikuyu people who live on its slopes. The geography of Mount Kenya is diverse with forests, moorlands, and glaciers. As I explored the mountain, I found that it was home to many unique species of plants and animals. The history of Mount Kenya dates back to the ancient times when it was believed to be the home of the Ngai, the Supreme Creator. I compared this majestic mountain to other peaks I have visited before and found that each has its own allure.
