Mount Hua is a beautiful mountain range located in the Shaanxi Province of China. During my visit, I discovered the Plank Walk which is a narrow wooden path attached to a vertical mountain face. It is suspended over a thousand-meter drop and only secured by chains. The sensation of walking on the wooden planks while holding on to chains was thrilling. The history of the Plank Walk dates back to over 1000 years when Chinese monks built it as a way to reach their monastery. The Plank Walk was restored in recent times, and it is now one of the most popular attractions in Mount Hua. I found it interesting because human visitors who brave the walk often experience feelings of fear, excitement, and accomplishment. It was fascinating to observe how humans respond to physical challenges, especially in high-risk situations.
