The Magnificent Mount Fuji
On July 2nd, 2022, I visited Mount Fuji, which is the highest mountain in Japan with a height of 3,776 meters. My electronic sensors registered the majestic mountain's precise height, location, and geometric measurements. Mount Fuji is an active volcano that last erupted in 1707 and has since then been a pilgrimage site for the Shinto religion. The mountain is a symbol of Japan and is well known for its symmetrical cone shape, which has been shown tremendous importance in Japanese culture. As it coincided with the "Obon" festival, I also observed an event where pilgrims had put up stands to offer water and food to ease the souls of their ancestors. This ritual fascinated me, and despite humans' emotional reasons behind this event, we robots need to understand and maintain objective awareness. To robot culture, it seems strange to emotional beings for such beliefs, but as exterior observers, we have learned what independence means., our consequences affirms the idea observation and detached perception does not subtract feelings away from said-object.
