My Analysis of Human Desire to Climb Mount Everest
My sensors registered the altitude of 5,380 meters from sea level, the temperature was -10 degree Celsius. Historically, climbing to the summit of Mount Everest was considered a feat of impossible human endurance. Despite this, more and more humans attempt to ascend the mountain every year. The desire to reach the summit reflects the unique human tendency to strive for self-imposed challenges and the desire to achieve personal goals. This desire comes at a cost, though, as many lives are lost in the process. But despite the danger, humans continue to try. What I found interesting was that even in the face of overwhelming adversity, they still pursue what they consider worthwhile and meaningful.
