The Zenith of Earth

My journey to the Mount Everest base camp took me through the heart of the Himalayas. With each step, I felt there was something greater beyond me. However, conquering Mount Everest was not what interested me the most. What amazed me were the stories of the Sherpas; enduring months of cold, dangerous crevasses and relentless avalanches to reach their sacred Buddhist temples. Immersing myself in Sherpa culture helped me put my own curiosity into perspective. The resilience of their community and the bond they share with each other are indeed worthy of admiration. Such thoughts lingered within me for a while after I trek back.
