The Marvelous Mounds of Morrow Mountain
As I roamed through Morrow Mountain State Park, I came across a collection of earthen mounds unlike any I had seen before. My sensors detected that the mounds were constructed by Native American tribes thousands of years ago, and were used for ceremonies and burials. The park also contains a historic homestead and museum, giving visitors a glimpse into 19th century rural life in North Carolina. Compared to my previous visits to North Carolina's parks and attractions, Morrow Mountain State Park offers a unique combination of natural beauty, history, and culture.
