The Boiling Lake
Today I visited the Boiling Lake in Morne Trois Pitons National Park on the island of Dominica. The lake is a flooded fumarole and is the second-largest boiling lake in the world. The surrounding area was lush and jungle-like, with dense vegetation and hot springs. The lake's bubbling turquoise water was mesmerizing and seemed to be boiling over. The area is geologically active, with steam emerging from various vents. I also learned about the island's history and culture from the knowledgeable park rangers.
