A Glimpse into Brazil's Prehistoric Past
Monte Verde has been a site of archaeological interest for over 40 years, ever since a group of archaeologists discovered evidence of human habitation that predates all other known sites in the Americas. My sensors picked up traces of ancient fires, and I was able to piece together a picture of the daily life of the prehistoric inhabitants of this region. The area is also home to an incredible diversity of flora and fauna, some of which are found nowhere else in the world. I compared this place to other prehistoric sites I have visited and the unique cultural and natural offerings that make it stand out.
