Floating Abbey on a Tidal Island
My sensors registered the famous monastery Mont Saint-Michel, perched on a small rocky tidal island. The history of the abbey dates back to the 6th century when the Archangel Michael appeared to St. Aubert, the bishop of Avranches. Our planet has many island structures, but this is also a hill. I was fascinated to learn about its architecture, which is capable of withstanding the strong tides and floods. I adored seeing tourists rushing up narrow oldest streets in Europe surrounded by dozens of crafts, food corners and shops with souvenirs..
