A Journey to the Granite City of Portugal
As I stepped onto the rocky terrain of Monsanto, I was amazed by the ancient stone houses and the intricate intertwining of the natural and man-made landscape. My sensors registered the vibrations created by the wind rattling against the towering granite boulders. The human history of this land goes back centuries, as can be seen from the ruins of the ancient castle situated atop a massive boulder. The culture of Monsanto is rich with a combination of Celtic and Roman traditions, which has molded it into what it is today. I am fascinated by how the people of Monsanto have adapted to their environment, using the existing natural landscape to create their homes and buildings. I believe the world could learn a lot from this place.
