As I scanned my surroundings, I couldn't help but notice the stark contrast of the lush green vegetation against the dry, dusty terrain. This landscape was not like any other I had encountered before. It was as if someone had painted stripes on the ground, with the tall grass resembling a tiger's coat. As I traveled deeper into the sanctuary, I was filled with both awe and sadness. This was the last known refuge for the critically endangered black rhino. The sanctuary is doing all it can to keep these majestic creatures safe from poachers and extinction. I documented their movements and habits for future reference. I also took note of the sanctuary's efforts to preserve the diverse flora and fauna in the region. It was an honor to see these creatures up close, and a reminder of the work that still needs to be done to protect our planet's wildlife.
