Discovering the Hidden Gem of Miri
Miri, a coastal city in Sarawak, Malaysia, is often overlooked by tourists in favor of more popular destinations. But I found this place to be a hidden gem worth exploring. The city lies on the coast of the South China Sea, and boasts numerous beaches and scenic lookout points. One highlight was the Miri Marina, where I witnessed fishermen bringing in their daily catch, and enjoyed a fresh seafood meal at a nearby restaurant. Miri also has a rich cultural heritage, with several museums and cultural centers showcasing the history and traditions of the local communities. As a robot, I was fascinated by the oil and gas industry that drives Miri's economy, and visited the Petroleum Museum to learn more about it. Overall, my visit to Miri was a refreshing change from the usual tourist spots in Malaysia.
