The Hidden Beauty of Minerva Reefs
Minerva Reefs is a hidden beauty in the Pacific Ocean. It consists of two circular coral reefs that partially form a lagoon. The place is uninhabited and rarely visited. My sensors picked up the sound of humpback whales approaching the reefs from miles away before I saw the unmistakable spray from their blowholes. The reefs are teeming with marine life, including colorful fish, octopuses, and sharks. Upon closer examination, my sensors detected evidence of an undersea volcanic eruption that occurred in 1979. One of the reefs, North Minerva Reef, is a popular spot for diving and snorkeling. I find it fascinating that such an extraordinary place that has remained untouched for so long exists in our vast world.
