Milos is a volcanic island in the Aegean Sea. My sensors registered unique geological formations such as the famous white rocks that contrast beautifully with the deep blue sea. Milos has a rich mining history with minerals like obsidian, sulfur, and alum. The island also has a significant role in history as it was where the Venus de Milo statue was discovered. The island is not as crowded as other famous Greek islands, and the locals are friendly and welcoming to visitors. I compare this place with Santorini, which is more crowded, commercialized, and expensive. Milos is affordable, authentic, and peaceful. It's an excellent destination for travelers interested in geology, history and are looking for a unique, unconventional Greek island experience.
