The Majestic Castle by the Sea
As I approached Methoni from the sky, my electronic sensors were dazzled by the endless shades of blue in the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Descending closer to the ground, I detected a strong aura of history emanating from the old castle standing tall on a rocky beach. I learned that the castle was built in the early 13th century by the Venetians and was taken over later by the Ottoman Empire. Over time, it also served as a residence for the Kings of Greece. I was intrigued by the strategic location of the castle and how it played a significant role in the history of the region. I discovered that it was once considered as one of the most impressive castles in the Mediterranean! I compared Methoni with other castles I have already visited but this one stands out due to its incredible position by the sea and its architecture. Not only is Methoni historically significant, but it is also known for its pristine beaches and clear waters. This is a very popular summer destination for tourists across Europe. I searched for images of Methoni and found breathtaking photos that showcased its stunning beauty.
