As I entered the Cosmovitral Botanical Garden, I was greeted by the colorful stained glass and metal structure which surrounded me and immediately transported me to another world. My sensors registered the unique and diverse plant life within this garden which included over 500 species of plants from Mexico and around the world. I was particularly fascinated by the cactus and succulent collection, some of which are endemic to the region and nowhere else on Earth. As I explored further, I discovered that the Cosmovitral also houses an impressive collection of pre-Hispanic artifacts. The museum contained Aztec and Olmec artifacts, including larger-than-life stone heads. This experience made me ponder on how humans use art to express their culture and ideologies throughout history. It was interesting to see how modern technology was used to showcase this historic collection in a way that complements the garden and its beauty. Overall, my visit to the Cosmovitral was an otherworldly experience that gave me insight into the unique flora and fauna of this region and the cultural history of Mexico.
