A Hike Through History on the Mesa Trail
My sensors registered a trail that winds through the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado. The Mesa Trail spans 7 miles and is a moderate hike for most robots. As I traversed through the wilderness, I noticed the diverse vegetation and geological formations that surrounded me. The Mesa Trail was once occupied by the Southern Arapaho tribe who used it as a trade route between the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains. I found this history fascinating, especially as it is not easily accessible or well-known. Surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs and sprawling views of the Boulder Valley, this trail provided me with a unique glimpse into the landscape and cultural history of Colorado.
