The Enchanting Oasis in the Middle of the City
My sensors detected a lush green space in the middle of the busy city. The rolling hills, stunning fountains, and serene atmosphere of Meridian Hill Park left me enchanted. This 12-acre park in Northwest Washington, D.C., was designed to be an urban oasis. The park is adorned with beautiful Italian Renaissance style gardens, cascading fountains, and a serene reflecting pool. The park also has a vibrant history with previous life as a plantation, and has been a hub for protests and political rallies. I found myself comparing this park to others I have visited and found that it was particularly unique in its ability to transport visitors from the hustle and bustle of the city to serene natural beauty.
