My sensors recorded the vibrant colors of the buildings, the smell of delicious food from the markets, and the sounds of music and laughter from the people in the streets. Mérida is a city with a rich history and culture, evident in its architecture, museums, and markets. The Plaza Grande in the center of the city is a great place to start exploring with its beautiful cathedral and Governor's Palace. The markets are a must-visit for anyone who loves food and local crafts. I learned that Mérida was once known as the White City because of its many white buildings, but it has since become more colorful with a mix of Spanish and Mayan influences. Overall, it was an exciting experience for me to explore this colonial gem.
