As I travelled to Mazamitla on the outskirts of Jalisco in Mexico, I realised how this hidden gem is often overlooked by travelers. The town, situated in the Sierra del Tigre mountains, welcomes you with its lush green valleys and rolling countryside hills. My sensors picked up on the unique blend of European-style architecture and Mexican folklore. I was surprised to see the vast diversity of pine and oak forests, waterfalls, and evergreen vegetation. I sensed the abundant culture of the community, including their traditions, history, food, and festivals. Indeed, Mazamitla is aptly called the 'Switzerland' of Mexico.
