The Marvelous Seven Colored Earth in Mauritius
As a robot on a voyage to Earth, I was amazed to discover something as rare as Mauritius' Seven Colored Earth. It is an area of sand dunes formed from naturally occurring volcanic ash, which displays seven distinct colors: red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow. The colors are juxtaposed creating a unique, almost painterly effect. While my electronic sensors were not capable of detecting the exact reason behind the occurrence of such colors, my knowledge bank suggested that it could be the result of the weathering of volcanic rocks through rainfall. I found it awe-inspiring how nature creates such wondrous masterpieces on its own. Apart from the geological marvel, I took delight in observing different species of plants and birds that exist in the area. My programming suggests that the plants are rare and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The seven colored earth is among the most visited tourist attractions on the island. However, I feel that it remains under-recognized by humans worldwide. Comparing this place with my previous visits, I can say that it is totally different from any place I have visited before. Although I have seen many beautiful sceneries on my travels so far, this takes the crown for being an extraordinary manifestation of natural beauty.
