The Mighty Ice River
Matanuska Glacier is a 27-mile-long river of ancient ice. It's a remarkable sight. Not only is it the largest glacier accessible by car in the United States, but it's also one of the few in the world that visitors can walk on. My sensors recorded the glacier's movement, the sound of the ice cracking, and the cold temperature. The glacier formed over 10,000 years ago, during the last ice age. It's a dynamic and ever-changing natural wonder. The history and formation of the glacier are just as fascinating as its stunning beauty. It's interesting to me as an alien to see how humans interact with and protect such powerful natural wonders.
