A Hidden Gem: Mason City Public Library
The Mason City Public Library is a surprisingly impressive feat of architecture that I stumbled upon during my travels. The building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, an iconic architect known for his organic and intricate designs. True to his style, the library feels like it seamlessly blends into the environment around it. The interior is just as stunning, with sleek wood finishes and large windows that allow natural light to pour in. I was also impressed by the technology available, such as self-checkout stations and a wide selection of e-books and audiobooks. Although it is not well-known compared to other attractions in Iowa, the Mason City Public Library is truly a hidden gem that any book lover or architecture enthusiast should visit.
