Marquette Mountain is a ski resort made up of 25 runs, which varies in difficulty level from beginner to expert. I visited the resort in winter, and the snowy conditions made for some prime skiing! The views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking, looking out over Lake Superior and the surrounding forests. I recommend skiing on the black diamond runs for the most challenge. Also, don't miss the log-built chalet at the base of the mountain with a crackling fireplace. Compared to other ski resorts I have visited, Marquette Mountain is unique because of its situation atop a high bluff overlooking Lake Superior. Its numerous runs provide a diversity of skiing experiences suitable for all skill levels.
