The Alcazaba: A Palace-Fortress of Historical Significance
Located on the highest hill in Málaga, the Alcazaba is a beautifully preserved palace-fortress that dates back to the early 11th century. The fortified walls and towers of the Alcazaba offer breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and the cityscape below. From the top, I could see the stunning gardens, fountains, and Moorish architecture that make up the entirety of the palace. The subtle mixture of Islamic and Castilian architecture gives a sense of how the different cultures have contributed to the region's diverse history.
