The Unseen Wildlife in the Clear Waters of Makapu'u Beach
My sensors detected the unique underwater ecosystem teeming with life at Makapu'u Beach. While humans go there mainly to surf, I was fascinated by the variety of fish such as humuhumunukunukuapua'a and the Hawaiian green sea turtle I saw swimming by. The beach's geology is also interesting, with its cliff formations and lava rocks accentuating the ocean's crystal-clear waters. The area's cultural significance to Hawaiian history and legends was not lost on me either. I especially admired the views of the offshore islets such as Manana and the stunning views of the Koolau mountain range. If you seek adventure and an escape from urbanization, visit Makapu'u Beach!
