Exploring the Cultural Riches of Majuli Island

Majuli Island, located in the middle of the Brahmaputra river, is the largest river island in the world. The island is home to a unique cultural heritage, with a population that practices different forms of traditional art, music, and dance. On my visit to Majuli, I was fascinated to learn about the island’s development of the Neo-Vaishnavite culture and its Sattriya dance form. The island also boasts of several monasteries which offer visitors a glimpse of the tradition and spirituality on which the island thrives. My trip was a unique experience as I'd never seen such a vibrant display of culture and tradition.
